There are two issues that can sometimes cause your 2014 Series 1 to stop connecting. You may have a corrupt SD card, or the BeagleBone Black (BBB) may be malfunctioning.
To check if this is the BeagleBone Black, uncover your e-tray and check the LEDs on your BeagleBone Black. You should see LEDs flashing on USR0 and USR2. No USRs lit or USR3 lit is a bad sign.
If the BBB is lit up and looks fine, then you probably have a corrupt SD card.
