Here is how to connect a printer to a wifi network with a hidden SSID. This assumes you are able to use ssh.
- With an existing connection from the user's computer to the printer (AP mode or wired), ssh to the printer (login s1, password series1).
- Run netconnectcli configure_wifi ssid pass with the appropriate ssid and password for the wifi network.
- Run netconnectcli status to confirm the new network settings.
- Reboot the printer and wait for the printer to connect to the new network.
If it's in AP mode, it's possible that the printer will immediately switch networks after step 2 and the ssh connection will be lost. This is fine though, as it means mission accomplished.
