How do we get the SD card image or an SD card with the update?

From another forum, I found where to download the Octoprint software. http://forum.typeamachines.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=1728

In the link that I provided it also contains links to the application that loads the software to the SD card. When I was doing this, I originally had trouble writing the software on the 2014 image but it ended up that you need to place the text file that is found in the ZIP folder in the SD card before flashing the SD card image. Once the SD card has the updated software and is attached to the board  give it 3-5 for it to create its access point. The new access point should be series1-1000 or series1-2000 if you did not update it's id (I was not sure how to do this when I did it).

Let me know if you need more help.

    Thanks Captmemory12,

Your forum post is a couple of years old now, is it still relevant. This post seems to not refer to the beta and pre August 20, 2014 machines as the numbering starts at 1000. My machine is B35 so is one of the originals.

I was hoping someone from TAM might respond since they posted this article without the information on how to get the image.

But alas still the same level of support from TAM as we have since the beta machines were released, we are still on our own.

The links that are included in the forum give you the download to the current day software. Regarding to your machine being a pre August 2014 one, as long as you have updated the internals to current day or near current day internals, then it should work with the software from the forum. Like last year, I updated my machine with a heated bed, new stepper drivers and all the new upgrades, so I had to download the 2015/16/17 software.
